My practice explores the parallels between nature and the feminine, particularly their shared qualities of resilience, nurturing, transformation, and quiet strength. Rooted in gratitude for the act of seeing, my paintings invite moments of contemplation and a deeper connection with ourselves and the natural world. Working primarily with diluted acrylic paint, oil pastels, and colored pencils, I build luminous surfaces through translucent layers and overlapping abstract forms. My process begins intuitively with color palettes inspired by natural landscapes, allowing each layer to unfold into imagined organic environments that evoke depth, movement, and lightness. Nature serves both as my primary source of inspiration and as a metaphor for the feminine experience. Through abstraction, I explore the often-unseen strength of women—their capacity to nurture, adapt, sustain, and give—and the parallels I find in the natural systems that support life. My work seeks to make this quiet strength visible and to encourage a greater sense of recognition and gratitude. Mindful of the environment that inspires my work, I strive to minimize material waste throughout my studio practice. Ultimately, my paintings are visual meditations—an invitation to slow down, look more closely, and reconnect with the beauty, resilience, and interconnectedness that sustain life.
